Every product page lists the light the plant likes. North-facing rooms suit our low-light plants; a sunny sill suits succulents and citrus. Write to us with a photo of the spot and we will suggest a few.

Most houseplants want water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. The care card in every box says how often for that plant, and our journal has a guide for each season.

Calatheas, prayer plants, ferns and the coffee plant are safe around cats and dogs. Pothos, monstera, philodendron, ZZ and snake plants are not, so keep them out of reach.

Each plant arrives in a recyclable nursery pot that fits inside a decorative pot of the same size. The size you choose is the size of that pot.

In a sleeve inside a snug, plastic-free box, with the soil held in place, so they arrive upright and unharmed.

Orders placed before noon leave the same working day, Monday to Wednesday, so no plant spends a weekend in a van. Delivery takes two to four working days.

Free on orders over $75, and a flat $6.90 below that.
