In short: we love plants
Loam began in a small backyard greenhouse. Today we grow a few hundred kinds of house plants under our own glass, and we still pot, water and pack every one of them ourselves.
What sets us apart is that we grow what we sell. Our plants spend months under our own glass before they ship, so the one that reaches you has already settled, rooted and put out new leaves. Nothing is bought in by the lorry-load and sent straight on.
The people who pot them are the people who answer your emails. Between us we know ferns, aroids, cacti and citrus well, and we would rather tell you a plant will not like your hallway than sell it to you anyway.
We are a plant shop, but mostly we are people who like plants. A room with something green in it feels calmer, and we think everyone should have that, one pot at a time.
